Questions & answers

Everything else, answered.

Is MichPub really free? What’s the catch?

No catch. No ads, no subscription, no account. It’s simply free.

Does it work offline?

Yes. MichPub does not need an internet connection to manage your library or read. Translation is the one feature that reaches out online, and only when you use it.

What formats does it support?

EPUB and PDF. Both get highlights, bookmarks, in-book search, a table of contents, translation, and Markdown export.

Does MichPub support DRM-protected books?

No. MichPub is a reader for the books you already own. It does not remove or apply DRM.

Will my highlights survive if I move or replace a book file?

Yes. Your highlights, bookmarks, and progress stay with the book, so they survive moving or replacing the file, and MichPub helps you find it again if it goes missing.

Can I sync my books between devices?

Not yet, but it’s on our roadmap. Stay tuned.

Is there a mobile or Linux version?

Today MichPub runs on macOS and Windows. More platforms are on our roadmap, so stay tuned.
